How do I care for my product?

We have lots of info and even some videos too!

Please make sure you always read all of the safety & production information before you open you new pieces!

You can view our product info here.

Are the decals / wallpaper removable?

Yes, they absolutely are!!! They can be applied, removed and reused for as long as they are taken care of!

What types of surfaces can you use wallpaper / decals on?

To get the best from your wallpaper, its important to fully read your the full information & safety documents linked here, in your order confirmation and provided via scanable QR code in your order before use.

PhotoTex is not recommended for use on textured surfaces, paints containing teflon, wash and wear, washable or wipe clean paints (by any name), paint without a base layer of quality primer or paint that is flaking or in need of repair.

If you are unsure if your paint falls in to this a category that causes issues for wall decals or wallpaper, please consult your paint supplier prior to purchasing your decals or wallpaper.

We also recommend in all cases that you order one of our sample packs to try them out on your walls first!

Will your wallpaper or wall decals damage my walls?

The short answer is no, the decals wont damage your wall. BUT if your wall has not been adequately prepped or your paint work is already in decline, then your paintwork can be damaged very easily.

We've written a great blog post that explains this here.

We suggest you always order a sample of our wall decals / wallpaper first, if you are not sure how your paint has been applied.

How long are the decals reusable for?

Your wall decals are reusable for as long as they remain in good condition and free of dirt. Wall decals that become unusable due to damage or dirt are unable to be replaced. Wall decals that are taken care of have been able to be used for 5 - 10 years.

Our wall decals are not recommended for use on textured surfaces, paints containing teflon, paint without a base layer of quality primer or paint that is flaking or in need of repair. We are unable to refund wall decals that have been applied to any of the above surfaces and 'don't work'.

We recommend you order a sample wall decal pack prior to ordering any full sized pack.

Why is my background / decal colour different to the screen?

Please keep in mind that not all screens are created equal, so the colour you see on your screen, may vary slightly from the final printed product.

Once printed colour is also changed by its surroundings; light colour, shadow, wall colour, carpets etc.

Please always order a sample first to see how the colour will work in your space.

How do I measure my wallpaper?

Measure your wall in centimetres.  Measure the width from left to right, at both the top [ceiling] and bottom [floor] (as most walls are not perfectly square). Then measure the height from the ceiling to floor, on both the left and right (include architraves and skirting). Provide us with the largest measurements.

If there is a door or window in the wall you wish to wallpaper, simply pretend that it is not there and measure the whole wall, including the door or window. This ensures that the pattern remains seamless around all the door or windows. On installation, you can simply trim around it using relief cuts. You can use the left-over wallpaper for something fun (e.g. at the back of a wardrobe or shelving).  The only time that this instruction may differ; is when the door is on the left or right of the wall and has a small space above it. Send us an email to discuss options if this is the case.

It is important that you accurately measure your wall, as your wallpaper is made to the measurements that you provide us (plus small bleeds to allow for wall warping). We are unable to change your wallpaper once it has been made, so please CHECK and DOUBLE CHECK before ordering.

If you have measured incorrectly, and you require extra wallpaper, please contact us to discuss. Please note that you will be charged if you require extra wallpaper pieces.

When entering your measurements at check out, always allow a little extra, it is better to have excess, which you can trim later.

Would you like to continue your wallpaper around the room? Please get in touch to discuss how to apply your wallpaper seamlessly from one wall to another. We will happily advise you on how best to order, and install your wallpaper, and arrange a specialised quote for you if required.
